Cultural News, July 2008

Dr. Muriel Pollia, fondly known as "Mu-san" by her Japanese friends, was an internationally recognized scholar of Zen Aesthetics and custodian of Japanese and Chinese art and artifacts.
Her deep concern over a “disappearing Japan” fueled her scholarship and commitment to the preservation of Japanese cultural heritage. As part of this effort, Dr. Polla amassed a substantial collection of Japanese artifacts.
The exhibition showcases highlights from a unique collection of ceramics, netsuke, tansu, masks, kimono and byoubu screens that were recently permanently gifted to the JACCC by the Muriel Pollia Foundation.
The exhibition is free to public.
