A talented and diverse array of artists have stepped forward to “give back” to the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center in Los Angeles in Sounds and Voice of J-Town, a special benefit fundraiser-fun event on Saturday, May 19, at 8 p.m. at Aratani/Japan America Theatre in Little Tokyo.
The program will feature June Kuramoto of Hiroshima, two-time Grammy award-winner Daniel Ho and members of Kilauea, comedian/actress Amy Hill, Zendeko taiko group, and Alison De La Cruz.
Proceeds from the concert will support JACCC programs, which has provided a main stage for Asian Pacific Island performing artists for over twenty-five years.
There will be a Meet the Artist Reception and the benefit raffle drawing immediately following the concert on the JACCC Plaza.
Tickets are $100 for Special VIP Seating (includes premiere seating and an autographed CD), $50 for orchestra, $45 for Balcony.
